(3) Before and After: A photo Enhancement Entry

I think it’s been awhile since my last post on before and after picture. Sometimes I forgot how this blog was actually started. At the beginning of my blog, I only published some of my photos that I captured using my phone and edited it using photoshop, showing the before and after the picture is edited. So, it’s time to go classic right? *since I’m too lazy to post a long entry :P

I’ve posted this picture in one of my entry before. The editing was only to enhance the contrast and brightness. I can’t afford to edit folders of photos in detail; it will drain every single bit of my will power to blog.

But I did more enhancements on this photo because my relative, the one in the photo, asked me to print and frame this photo for her. Of course I can’t just print it raw like so, I have reputation to cover (*what a cocky brat).

I can’t really tell what I did on the enhancements process that I used on this photo, because I was going back and forth on it.

This is the original state of the photo. I was around 150meters from her when I captured this photo. I need to do so because people tends to hide their face when they know that their photo taken. Then later they will ask, "Can I see my picture?" So you have to show them their crappy photo and they will blame you saying that you don't know how to take photo. LOL. But that is not really the reason, it's will just look more natural that they unaware of your lens. They will look more casual.
Before&After

I didn't edit much here. Just adjusted the brightness and contrast.
Before&After

This is the almost-finish-edited-photo. Notice that I slightly darken the background. By doing so, she will pop out more as the main subject on this photo. Then I cleared some of her facial flaws. Not going all the way on it because you may offenses the person you edited in the photo, right. Plus, I want it to stay natural.
Before&After

So, here I focus more on the skin colour. Notice that in the previous photo she have reddish skin colour. Then I adjusted her eyebrow to look less "angry".
