(1) Stop Asking For My Help: Happy Independence Day

Usually I will try to post an entry for my blog every month, but lately, I hardly blog! I thought that when I’m home, I’ll be blogging like there is no tomorrow. Instead, it’s just the opposite. Since August is almost over, and today is the last day of the month, I thought that I should just get it done with. Plus, It’s Merdaka Day yo, Independence day!

It’s just that when I’m home after finishing my final semester, I’m always busy. Not busy like working, but busy doing other’s favor. I may sounds like trashing my life out to you, but bear with me. I will get to my point.

It’s turned out to be frustrating that now people think that since I’m still “unemployed”, there is no other better person to ask for a favor than me. Like crap! I don’t mind helping people, yes, I really mean it. I do. But when it’s already out of my hand and I said NO, it just pissed me off. Although I didn’t literally say no, but yeah, you are smart enough to know what I meant. I just don’t want to be rude. Even my relatives do that.

I have a life too. I have things that I love to do like blogging. And stay at home doing nothing is one of them. I don’t find that’s wrong. I’m not frustrated with those people that asked for my help. The fact that they think that I’m free and I did refuse to do them, does. Do you get me? No? Okay, it makes me actually believe that I’m lazy. Yes, the feeling itself that frustrates me. And it’s not a good feeling.

Sometimes I just don’t understand how people deal with it. Refuse to help when asked and being less guilty about it. It’s a great thing actually. You should come first. Besides, it’s your life you’re living. And living others life is not a wise thing to do because they can kick you out anytime they want.

Things that you did to them will only count as just some favors that are rude to ask for in return, right? But if that favor doesn’t bother your life and you are willingly want to do it, I guess its okay.

I’m not suggesting and promoting that we shouldn’t help others in need. Helping others is a noble thing to do, of course. You should help people! Karma baby! No, I’m not collecting points or filling my tank up to go to heaven with my fuel of good doings to other, no. I believe that helping others should come from the heart.

What I really want to say is this. To those that love to ask for others help, make sure that you really need it and not just wanted to make your life easy. Be INDEPENDENT! Don’t depend on others too much. Draw your own flag with your own colors, with your own brush, with your own HANDS. Being proud of others drawing and claim it yours, is shame.
